Woke up yesterday and was punched square in the face by Spring. Yay! I decided to go out and get some fresh air and take a drive to the country and around the city park to see what kind of shots I could get. I wasn’t disappointed. I love spring, everything is vibrating with new life ready to spring out at any moment. Yes, it’s sloppy and muddy and brown but still oddly beautiful. Spring is the stepping stone to the summer we anticipate! Here are some of the photos…

I drove to the local market this morning to pick up a few things for lunch this week, and on the way home I drove past an amazing sight–there on the side of the road in a patch of grass were dozens of bright yellow daffodils. What a thrill to know that new life is returning to our hemisphere and that the warmer weather will soon be upon us.
Your photos are wonderfully cheerful and you can almost smell the freshness of spring in the air.

It Is oddly beautiful, as you say. What I love about this is that you see the beauty in the mess, the mud, the transitions that are ALWAYS messy. Life is like that. It doesn’t come packaged in sealed, ready-to-deliver plastic bags. Thanks for seeing it and writingt about it. Life is about to break out all over the place.
